I began working for my parents' landscaping business full-time in 2009.  Each summer, while I was in high school, I worked there working my way up to foreman and leading my own crew.  We did everything from installing mulch and plants up to paver patios, fire pits, and retaining walls.  I continued this during my first two years in college at Michigan State University, where I was going to school to become a math teacher.  In my third year there (2016), I went to work in the summer for an earthworks company where I started as a laborer.  There I worked on commercial jobs putting in new roads, parking lots,  storm and water mains, foundations, and many other jobs.  In 2019, I began my teaching career as a math teacher, and in the summers kept working at the same earthworks company.  While working there until 2025, I worked my way up to become a foreman, which gave me valuable experience running large-scale commercial projects.  Due to my work experience in the summer, I was given the opportunity to teach geometry in construction and become a construction trades teacher and also became a licensed builder through that.  I have helped build a few of my parents' houses with them, done many remodels, and built decks through the years.  In the summers away from teaching now, I operate my own const
